Following in a long family history of woodcraft dating back to the early 1800s, I have continued in that tradition with over 30 years of various experiences in working with wood; ranging from carving treenware to furniture crafting to homebuilding. Recently, I have been able to take my craft to a full-time endeavor in the design and fabrication of fine furniture utilizing traditional joinery techniques.
The native hardwoods of New England provide the primary medium of which I create tables, chairs, and stools in a Shaker and contemporary style. Seats woven in colorful cotton webbing beautifully complements the highly figured woods of which the pieces are crafted. Through Fiddlehead Wood Arts, I present to you traditionally crafted fine furniture and woodcraft that is not only functional, but aesthetically pleasing and lasting. |
